My name is Antonio Amato and I was born in Sicily in 1983. I’ve been taking photos since my elementary school days, when my parents slipped a disposable camera into my backpack for a class trip. Over time, I managed to become the family photographer by "borrowing" my dad's Canon AT-1, always hearing the same advice: "Don’t focus too much on landscapes, take pictures of us." But it was no use: places fascinated me more than people. In Madrid I bought a Holga 120 CFN, and from that moment on I started collecting cameras and burning through dozens of rolls of film. After a few years' break, I found a Lomo LC-A on eBay in 2023 and my passion for photography came back in full force. Oh, and yes, I eventually started taking photos of people too.
